This bathroom remodel brought new life to a 1988 home in the Mesa View Estates neighborhood of Golden, transforming a dark, builder-grade bathroom into a serene spa-inspired retreat. The homeowners wanted a space that felt calming and indulgent while offering improved comfort, storage, and everyday functionality.
The existing bathroom lacked warmth and cohesion, with dated finishes and a raised tub platform that visually and physically closed in the room. The goal was to create an open, luxurious environment that supports relaxation while elevating the overall experience of the space.

Reimagined Layout & Spa Features
Removing the raised tub floor immediately opened up the bathroom, creating a more seamless and accessible layout. A luxury white Badeloft freestanding tub now anchors the room as a sculptural focal point, replacing the previous drop-in model and reinforcing the spa-like atmosphere.
The shower was upgraded with a steam system and frameless glass enclosure, enhancing both comfort and visual openness. Contemporary neutral tile and fresh, bright paint selections reflect light throughout the space, contributing to a tranquil, airy feel.
Vanity, Storage & Custom Details
Warm stained maple cabinetry from Diamond adds depth and balance to the bright palette. Paired with a white quartz countertop, the vanity area includes a custom dressing table that allows the homeowner to sit comfortably while getting ready—a thoughtful detail that blends function with everyday luxury.
Additional features include:
- Champagne bronze fixtures for warmth and refined contrast
- In-floor heating for year-round comfort
- Updated electrical elements to improve efficiency and performance
Closet & Linen Storage Enhancements
The remodel extended beyond the bathroom to include an updated walk-in closet with bright white shelving, significantly improving storage and organization. A new linen cabinet was added between the closet and tub, offering convenient access while reinforcing a built-in, custom feel throughout the suite.
