This modern spa bathroom remodel in Westminster transforms a dated primary bath into a calm, functional retreat designed for everyday comfort. The homeowners wanted a space that felt elevated and restorative while remaining practical for daily routines. Our team at VL Builders delivered a clean, contemporary bathroom that balances thoughtful design, durable materials, and a spa-like atmosphere.

This Lakewood Colorado modern primary suite remodel was completed as part of a whole-home renovation with a clear goal: create a warm, spa-like retreat that supports the homeowners’ lifestyle today and into the future.
The original bathroom felt dated and inefficient, with a bulky drop-in tub, constant faucet leaks, a cramped shower with poor lighting, and limited storage. The homeowners wanted functional luxury, a space that feels restorative while performing beautifully for everyday life.

This remodel involved a comprehensive transformation of a 1977 master suite in Morrison, designed to dramatically improve functionality, comfort, and everyday livability. The homeowners wanted to turn an undersized primary bathroom into a true ensuite retreat while optimizing storage and circulation throughout the second floor.
To accomplish this, we expanded the primary bathroom by repurposing the adjacent guest bedroom, allowing for a more spacious and thoughtfully designed layout that better suits mountain living.

The original layout of this 2006 Lakewood, Colorado home left much to be desired in terms of functionality, fairness, and flair. With three growing daughters, the clients needed spaces that could not only reflect each girl’s personality but also accommodate them gracefully as they aged. The top priority with this bathroom remodel was to provide equal-sized vanities and closets, along with private yet cohesive zones for bathing, storage, and daily routines.
The Jack & Jill layout posed spatial and mechanical challenges. Achieving symmetry without duplication meant relocating every major plumbing line in the space and reframing walls to create clear, separate zones — one vanity per daughter, private lavatory room, and a shared yet private shower area. Each vanity is outfitted with ample drawer storage, a farmhouse sink, and auto sensing toe-kick lighting, and a hidden pullout step stool helping the space feel both grounded and modern.

A well-designed bathroom should support your routine, simplify your mornings, and offer a sense of calm at the end of the day. These before-and-after transformations show what’s possible when careful planning, clear communication, and quality craftsmanship come together.
