Kaitlyn Bumgarner

Meet Kaitlyn Bumgarner, who originally joined the VL Builders team in the fall of 2022 as Executive Assistant to Victor, the CEO of VL Builders. She brought with her over 10 years of experience in customer service, including 8 years in banking, sales, and mortgage lending, and 3 years in management and business administration. Her strong background in organization, client relations, and attention to detail made her a natural fit to grow into her current role as Remodeling Design Consultant.

In her current role, Kaitlyn manages leads, sets client expectations, leads consultation appointments, manages contracts, and ensures a smooth Sales-to-Production Turnover. The position requires a balance of design knowledge, communication, and operational awareness, all of which Kaitlyn brings in abundance. Her proactive and detail-oriented approach helps clients feel confident, supported, and informed throughout the remodeling process.

Kaitlyn has had a passion for the construction industry since taking a carpentry class in high school. She holds an AA from South Central College and continues to build her knowledge in the remodeling and design fields. Something she would like to see change in the industry is the lack of people who value quality over quantity, as well as more women in trades and more realistic estimating.

Kaitlyn enjoys working at VL Builders because of our strong core values, great culture, and standard of exceeding expectations while making remodel dreams come true for homeowners. When she’s not working, Kaitlyn enjoys hiking Colorado trails with her husband and dogs, remodeling and decorating their home, and exploring new places.

Kaitlyn’s favorite quote is “What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make,” by Jane Goodall. One of her favorite books is Capital Gaines: Smart Things I Learned Doing Dumb Stuff by Chip Gaines.

Originally from Minnesota, Kaitlyn lived all over the state before moving to Colorado with her husband, Nate, in 2017. They have since built their life together and share it with their three dogs: Tikka, Oakley, and Riley.
